The US Embassy congratulates Fon Weerasunthorn as the first Thai person to direct Disney cartoons with "Wish", a magical story from the stars.

US Embassy Bangkok page Posted a Facebook message congratulating Fon Weerasunthorn, the first Thai artist who co-directed the animated film "Wish", a cartoon that tells the wonderful story of Disney's blessings from the stars.

The US embassy stated, “Congratulations to Khun Fon Weerasunthorn, the first Thai artist 🇹🇭 to be co-director in a Disney animated film. Fon has worked behind the scenes on Frozen, Zootopia and Raya and the Last Dragon. We are thrilled to witness her outstanding talent in the animated film “Wish”!”

Fawn Veerasunthorn is a Thai team who has worked within The Walt Disney Studios for more than 10 years as a Disney Story Artist.

This co-directing position makes Fon Weerasunthorn becoming the first female Thai director to sit in that position, alongside Chris Buck, a talented director who previously directed Tarzan and Frozen.
