Malaysian media reports a 29-year-old man has been sentenced to five months in prison for his threats to his father. Told to set the house on fire If the father refuses to buy a burger to bring back

News reports stated that On the night of December 27 in Batu Caves village, Selangor state, 29-year-old undisclosed Mr Adib called his father who was going out to buy food. and during that time he threatened "If my parents didn't buy me a burger, and bring back the burger now I'm going to burn down my father's house."

According to the Bernama news agency stated that Mr. Adib's father filed a police report and Adib was detained on December 28, saying that the court's trial made it known that Mr. Adib Own a small business, earning around 1,000 ringgit per month (about 7,900 baht)

The defendant's lawyers tried to reason with the judge that Mr Adib should be punished with light. Because he only earns a small amount each month. But prosecutors refused and said Mr Adib should receive a punishment that teaches him a lesson

“In this case, the defendant threatened his biological father. The defendant should be cared for and respected. Not intimidating," the prosecutor said.

The court ultimately sentenced Adib to five months in prison under Article 506 of the Malaysian Penal Code.
