### Description

When converting a decimal number to a fraction like 875 as a fraction, we write the given number as the numerator and add the necessary number of zeros after 1, just below the decimal point, in the denominator.

Since there are three digits after the decimal in this instance, we put 1000 in the denominator and eliminate the decimal point.

⇒ 875/1000

When we subtract this fraction, we obtain,

⇒ (875 ÷ 125) / (1000 ÷ 125) = 7/8

You can check your response using an online calculator.

Therefore, the fraction 0.875 equals 7/8.
